Visit schedules

Study teams can configure visit templates – with costed procedures, resources and people – to match the study protocol. When a participant is added, Siteline creates the participant’s visit schedule adding the required people and resources. Visits can then be managed in a Siteline project calendar that synchronises with email applications such as Microsoft Outlook.

Although visits are an optional Siteline feature, they are useful for tracking the progress of a participant through a phase of the recruitment process. They can also be used to track procedures performed during a visit. Visits can be defined as actual visits or as activities. Activities are performed without meeting the participant and therefore are not booked into the calendar.

Visits are grouped by participant status. All events in a group need to be completed before the participant status can be advanced. For example, visits assigned to the consented status have to be completed before the participant can be advanced to the enrolled status.
